Internships

MHMR provides practical experience for students in the fields of mental health, substance use (addiction), early childhood and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Undergraduate and graduate students must file an active Inter-facility Agreement in the Staff and Volunteer Development Office with the sponsoring institution.

All interns/practicum students will be screened for eligibility. Out-of-state students may require mandatory waiting periods to clear eligibility. All internships are subject to the full eligibility process as any employee of the agency.

Requirements:

 

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Valid Driver’s License, Student Visa or Green Card
  • Valid Social Security Card
  • TB Skin Test
  • Drug Screening
  • Background check
