“Beverly is legally blind and has an ECI behavioral therapist and speech therapist.
She’s been in ECI since she was 1; her sister was in ECI for two years. ECI has been a lifesaver.
It’s been very helpful with both the girls.
Anytime there’s something that comes up, they are there to see it through and get it done.
Beverly is able to communicate a lot better. She’s communicating instead of acting out. Understanding her is the biggest help. If something comes up and she does something new, they help me in how to redirect. She’s very complex. And they help.
Kindle, our specialized skills trainer (SST) is very, very good at working with both girls. Anytime she prepares to leave, they have a fit. Kindle is the one trainer that Beverly will stay focused with through the whole thing.
If you’re at your end of the rope, ECI really does come in and change your life.
If I didn’t have ECI and the people that work with my girls, there would be no possible way that I would be able to be where we are today.
They really do affect your lives in more ways than you can possibly imagine.”
