MHMR of Tarrant County is an independent local unit of government -- not a state, federal or county agency. We are the second largest of 39 community mental health and intellectual and developmental disabilities centers in Texas.
What services do you provide?
MHMR services include: mental health, addiction and substance abuse, intellectual and developmental delays, early childhood intervention, veterans, transportation, supported employment and homelessness.
Where are you located?
We are located at over 100 sites across Tarrant County and surrounding counties in North Texas.
How many employees do you have?
We have about 1,500 employees. Our employees help change lives. We are always looking for new nurses, doctors, licensed professionals, service coordinators, therapists and many others to fill important jobs that make a difference in people’s lives. Go to our employment page
How do I get started?
Crisis Services provides mental health emergency support 24-hours a day, 365 days a year and is the first point of contact to begin eligibility assessment. Call 817-335-3022 or 1-800-866-2465. Our team provides support, information, referrals, and/or crisis intervention referrals, if needed.
What do I have to pay to receive services?
Fees for all programs are assessed based on our funding sources and ability to pay.
Is my donation to your organization tax deductible?
Charitable contributions to MHMRTC are allowable deductions for federal income tax purposes as set forth under Paragraph 170(c)(1) of the IRS Code.
